For a reading challenge that I would describe as remarkably low-key we’ve got a few people signed up already.
Welcome aboard to:
- Amy at New Century Reading. (Thanks for the plug.)
- My friend and former teaching pal Joyce
- Dale at Mirrors with Clouds
There are several more folks who’ll be joining in for a book or two along the way and a couple who are still thinking about it.
The plan is straightforward–read one Jane Austen novel per month starting in July and ending in December. I’m going to stick with the six completed novels, reading them in the order they were published:
- July: Sense and Sensibility
- August: Pride and Prejudice
- September: Mansfield Park
- October: Emma
- November: Northanger Abbey
- December: Persuasion
If you’d like to join in for a book or two or for the full flight of six, let us know in a comment to this post and I’ll add you to the next list. If you’d like to help get the word out please fee free to use the picture I made and to link back to this post.
I’ll post a page each month where everyone can add links to their reviews. Feel free to add a link to a past review if you like. I know there are a lot of us out there who have read and written about Jane Austen over the years.
I’m looking forward to starting myself; I may ever begin a little early.
Sign me up. I’ve never read all of her novels and it is time.
Welcome aboard. Cool to have a reader in Japan join us.
