This morning I was very surprised to see that long-time literary rivals Jonathan Franzen and Jennifer Weiner have both taken the TBR Triple Dog Dare.
I hope this shared hardship experience can help them bury the hatchet once and for all. I speak only for myself, but I think there lots of us out there who have had enough of their now years long feud.
What a nice way to start the new year, making peace, even if it just a little internet peace.
To be honest, I didn’t think Mr. Franzen read book blogs like mine.

I can’t tell if this is real or not. I once had a friend (an arty, left wing friend) who emailed me to say she had married a police officer and had two kids. I wrote a long, kind of weird thing back and then she told me she was joking.
